About Us

Next Chapter Connections is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive community for individuals on the autism spectrum and those with similar neurodivergent conditions. Our mission is to combat the profound isolation often experienced by these individuals and their caregivers, empowering them to build meaningful connections, access essential resources, and thrive at every stage of life.

Headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina, we champion autism causes through strategic fundraising initiatives, including merchandise sales, individual donations, and grant applications. These efforts enable us to support local programs, and services that enhance the quality of life for neurodivergent communities. Advocacy lies at the heart of our work, where we actively promote policy changes, raise public awareness, and amplify the voices of those we serve to drive systemic improvements.

At the core of our outreach is an engaging, user-friendly website that serves as a comprehensive hub for lifelong support. Visitors can easily navigate direct links, contact information, and tailored resources for services and benefits—ranging from early intervention and education to employment, housing, and elder care—ensuring that no one faces their journey alone.

Community Events

At Next Chapter Connections (NCC), we believe community shouldn’t end when services do. Our regularly scheduled virtual meet-ups offer autistic adults a safe, consistent space to connect, share, and build friendships from wherever they feel most comfortable. In addition to our online gatherings, we also host local in-person events—both social and educational—to bring individuals, families, and caregivers together. Whether online or in the community, our events are designed to reduce isolation and support every chapter of the autism journey.

Thinking Out of the Box

Next Chapter Connections would like to give a shout out to Diya! My name is Diya Kolasani, and I am a freshman at Fort Mill High School. I often think about how I can make a meaningful impact in the world. Over time, I have come to believe that true impact begins within the community you live in. In the past, I organized fundraising drives to support Breast Cancer Hub, a nonprofit focused on promoting breast cancer awareness in the Charlotte area. I started thinking about how I could give back for my 15th birthday, and that is when I learned about New Chapter Connections (NCC). I have a cousin who is autistic, which helped me immediately connect with NCC’s mission. I often think about the challenges families with autistic children face; whether they have access to resources, support after school, and long term care opportunities. When I read about NCC, it resonated with me because the organization focuses on supporting individuals with autism in areas where help is limited or unavailable. I also liked that they help families right here in the Fort Mill community. Because of this, I decided to do a fundraiser for NCC. In the future, my goal is to continue making an impact wherever I can, starting locally and then on a larger scale. I would pursue a career that directly improves lives, which is why I am interested in the medical and health sciences field. My dream university is Princeton University. When I toured the campus, I was immediately drawn to it. I play basketball and I am on the Fort Mill High School JV girls basketball team. I am very passionate about basketball. It helps me grow as a person both physically and mentally. I also enjoy reading; on some days, I read up to 300 pages. Through academics, athletics, and service, I would like to grow as a student and as a person while contributing positively to my community.
